J. F. Henderson Law, PLLC is a professional limited liability company founded by Joseph F. Henderson. Joe is a 1997 graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School, is licensed to practice in Minnesota and has been admitted in both Minnesota and federal courts. He is an active member of the Ramsey County Bar Association, the Hennepin County Bar Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association.

Born and raised in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, Henderson attended White Bear Public schools and then the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul where he graduated in 1990 with degrees in Business, Marketing and Political Science. Out of college, Joe moved to Washington, DC where he worked as a Legislative Assistant to a Congressman and as an international trade lobbyist. Joe returned home in 1994 to attend the University of Minnesota Law School.

Throughout law school, Joe served with distinction as a law clerk in the Office of Minnesota Attorney General Hubert H. Humphrey, III. Upon graduation, Joe accepted the position of Assistant Attorney General, providing counsel on a variety of contracts, litigation and policy matters for the state.

In 2001, after Attorney General Humphrey’s departure from office, Joe went into private practice with the Minneapolis law firm Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP where he served as an Associate Attorney. In 2005, Joe was recruited to join the in-house legal department of MoneyGram International, Inc. – a Minneapolis-based global financial services company – where he served as both the head of litigation and then as State Regulatory and Government Affairs Counsel.

Joe chose to leave MoneyGram in September 2007, marry his excellent wife Jill and start J. F. Henderson Law. He has since become the father of identical twin sons Emmett and Edwin and is loving every minute of it. Joe started his own firm out of a driving desire to make a positive difference in the lives of clients by providing honest and practical advice without breaking the bank. This is his commitment to every client and is what brings him satisfaction in his career and in life.
