How Does the “In-House Counsel” Service Work?

Each “in-house counsel” relationship is tailored to meet the specific needs of the business client. Generally, our partnership begins with mutual efforts to educate – J. F. Henderson Law will get to know the core purposes and players of the business while the key business players to get to know the faces and resources of J. F. Henderson Law. Once the partnership is established, business clients treat J. F. Henderson Law as they would their own in-house counsel – calling with questions as they arise in the daily workday, inviting J. F. Henderson Law to join important decision-making meetings as needed, and asking for general operations and planning advice.


How Much Does the “In-House Counsel” Service Cost?

Because the relationship with each business client is so personal, J. F. Henderson Law asks that you schedule a free initial consultation to discuss the needs of your business and get a better idea of the services available and costs involved. J. F. Henderson Law generally finds that a monthly retainer arrangement better enables business clients to freely contact J. F. Henderson Law as questions come up on a daily basis. Such an arrangement has the added benefit of allowing the business to better budget legal costs and avoid cost negotiations as each new issue arises.

Religious entities are regularly offered a discounted rate. The hourly rate of any other attorney or legal professional pulled in on matters will be arranged with each client in advance.


How Does the Government Relations Service Work?

Each government relations effort begins with an initial consultation with J. F. Henderson Law. Our first conversations will require us both to get a good handle on the issues involved and to determine the preferred approaches for handling the issue. Plans will often vary dramatically depending on the issue and the desired budget involved.
